Highlights: At its second meeting, the expert working group on the review of Annexes (RA) is expected to continue its work on the review of Annex IV and related aspects of Annex IX (B1110), pursuant to the mandate entrusted to it by decision BC-13/2 and decision OEWG-11/12 . Accordingly, the group will be expected to prepare recommendations for revisions to Annex IV and Annex IX (B1110) to be made available to Parties and observers by 8 January 2019 with an invitation to comment by 15 March 2019, and for subsequent consideration by the Conference of the Parties at its fourteenth meeting (29 April-10 May 2019). The group is also expected to initiate substantive discussions on the review of Annexes I and III.
The meeting will chaired by the co-chairs of the group, Ms Magda Gosk (Poland) and Mr Joost Meijer (Chile). The meeting is hosted by the Government of Argentina and is organized with the support of the Basel Convention Regional Centre for the South American Region in Argentina. The European Union provided generous financial support to hold the meeting.
